"Spring Break" Charleston, S.C.
15 Mar 2004 to 15 May 2004

THE ''SPRING BREAK''
We would suggest about 3 or 4 days in the Charleston area to shake off the up north winter doldrums and have some fun and relaxation.
Fishing
Plantations
Historical Southern Mansions
Beautiful Gardens
Fort Sumter
Great Southern Restaurants.

Spend one day fishing around the harbor and in the salt marshes inside the barrier islands where the water is smooth and the redfish and sea trout abound. Schools of dolphin cruise these waterways and are seen on almost every trip. We fish the for the ''spottails'', as the redfish are called by the locals,on the outgoing tide. Then as the tide slackens go after the sea trout and flounder. Afterwards is a good time to take a break and visit Fort Sumter at the entrance to Charleston Harbor where the first shots of the civil war were fired.
Day 2, and they don't have to be in this order, could be spent golfing on the Isle of Palms. Wild Dunes Resort is home to two championship Tom Fazio designed golf courses.'' The Links'' is a par 72,6772 yards, is rated on of the top 100 in the world with breathtaking coastal terrain and a pair of oceanfront finishing holes. ''The Harbor Course'' is a par 70, 6446 yards, along the saltwater marshes and the intracoastal waterways.
You can't go to Charleston and not spend a day visiting the plantations and homes that have made this city the jewel of the south. Boone Hall plantation, Middleton Place, Mansions on the Battery, historic churches, cobblestone streets, and hidden gardens all reveal the stories and traditions of Charlestons rich history and colorful past.
If you can spend another day, spend some time just relaxing on the beach at Isle of Palms or visit the aircraft carrier''Yorktown'' at Patroits Point. visit ''Cypress Gardens'' or see the ''C.S.S. Hunley'', the first submarine to sink an enemy ship in combat, take a nature tour in kayaks, or even spend another day fishing in the salt marshes or offshore at many of the reefs that abound with fish just off the coast.
We can point you towards the best resturants depending on your tastes for seafood, or southern cooking, barbecue, or local favorites.
This is a great 2 person getaway and is guaranteed to be a trip that allows everyone to do their thing , get some relaxation, and see some of the sights that have this part of the country so unique.
We do not offer this trip as an all inclusive package as there are just so many options that we let you make your own choices but we are certainly there to advise and help you. Our all day fishing and Harbor sightseeing trips are $450.00 for 2-4 people and include fishing, a trip to Fort Sumter, and a Harbor Cruise.
